So, Who’s the Artist Behind Your Creative Mindfulness Journey?

That’s me! I’m Dr. Emily Livengood, but you can call me Emily.
Like many of us, I juggle a lot – naturopathic doctor, artist, mom, the whole shebang.
For a while there, I was the poster child for burnout. Ever feel like you’re constantly trying to do it all, missing out on what truly matters? Yeah, that was me!
Stressed, overwhelmed, and prioritizing what everyone else thought was important, not what truly fueled my soul.
Art has always been my happy place, a constant companion even amidst the whirlwind. Maybe you can relate – those moments of losing yourself in a creative flow, the world fading away as you get lost in your sketch book.
For me, it wasn’t always a conscious act of stress relief, but looking back, I realize how art has quietly served as a soothing balm for my soul.
My paints, pastels, and pencils became the tools I instinctively reached for when the world felt overwhelming. They were a way to calm my nervous system and refocus my priorities almost without thinking.
